abberior was founded in 2012 by the inventors of STED microscopy to provide researchers with tools to visualize biological systems down to the molecular level. In-Field Application Scientist (m/f/d)
Location: Germany; Göttingen

The Position
We are expanding our Application team and looking for excellent candidates to join us as superresolution imaging specialists in Germany.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct superresolution microscope demonstrations remotely and at customer sites
- Provide training and application support for customers
- Develop, refine, and troubleshoot analysis pipelines for superresolution data
- Record data of biomedical and biophysical samples for internal research and marketing activities
- Develop and optimize data acquisition protocols and workflows for superresolution microscopy
Requirements:
- Advanced degree (MA/PhD) in Biology, Biophysics, or a related discipline
- Sound knowledge and research experience in superresolution microscopy – preferably in STED, MINFLUX or single molecule localization microscopy
- Independent thinking, a structured work style, and collaborative team spirit
- Willingness and ability to travel globally (approximately 40-60%)
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken; proficiency with German is useful, but not necessary
- Effective cross-cultural communication skills, both within the company and when working with customers
- Affinity for cutting edge technology Basic programming knowledge, especially in Python, is preferred
